Tara Rafting is the ultimate adrenaline challenge, unusual adventure and unforgettable vacation for all true nature lovers! Ok, rafting is amazing, no question about it, but rafting on Tara river and its canyon is a true treat for all rafting lovers around the world. Why is that? It's simple! Tara river canyon in Montenegro is the second deepest canyon in the world, right behind America's Grand Canyon.

Rafting represents a rapid descent in special rubber boats called rafts, designed for wild waters, which can fit 8 - 10 people at the time. Rafting boats are managed by trained and IRF licensed guides - the skippers. All guides must posses the IRF (International Rafting Federation) license and must have a lot of experience. For a thrilling ride on sparkling streams you don't need nor prior experience or special physical fitness. Before every descent, participants receive all the necessary equipment and a brief theoretical training so the adventure can be complete.

12km RAFTING TOUR

Boating 12km from the second camp, to Lever Tara (Žugića Luke) with a visit to the River Ljutica. left tributary of Tara, which is on two bases in the Guinness Book of Records, the strongest European wellspring of 1000 liters per second and shortest European River length of only 170 meters, a tour of the monastery of Archangel Michael from the 13th century, the organization of swimming in the green whirlpools called Paradise Gardens.

The package includes:

fees for boating, compulsory insurance, tickets in the Durmitor National Park, Services for boating, Licensed Rafting Guide, transport van from parking to start, and from the end to the same camp.. Number of persons is not limited. Applications should be made one day before. The preferred start the program at 9:30 in the morning or 14 o’clock in the afternoon.

30km RAFTING TOUR

One day rafting on the length of 30 km from the second camp, to Radovan Luka.

Minimum number of persons in a group is a two. Applications should be made up to one day before the start of the program. Desirable start the program at 10am. End of program at 6pm.

Canyoning

Canyon Nevidio (Montenegro) is a rare natural phenomenon, which will not leave indifferent even the most seasoned adrenaline lovers and it's located below the slopes of Durmitor, at the narrowest part of the river Komarnica. For a long time has this gem of nature been hidden from the eyes of people, and the first passage through it was in 1965. It is the last conquered canyon in Europe, the real challenge for the seasoned climbers. Until 10 years ago only the fittest and most courageous hikers have dared to enter its narrow gorges. Now with the safe leadership of licensed and experienced guides, if you have physical readiness and certain skills and you can enjoy a surreal blend of sport, risks and opportunities.

Previous experience is not necessary.
The minimum number of participants for the realization of the tour is 2 people or you can join an existing group.
The maximum number of participants is 8 people per guide.
For group bookings with over 10 persons, we approve of a group discount.
This tour is available for children above the age of 10.
The time schedule is not fixed and may vary depending on the wishes and needs of our guests, as well as in accordance with our overall organization.

Durmitor ring

126 KM (DURMITOR RING)

9:30 am – Your day starts with great breakfast and meeting with your drivers. After several kilometers they take you to your first stop at the Crkvicko Field for amazing panoramic view of the Tara River Canyon (1100m). Continuing our journey to the authentic Village Nikovici and breathtaking panoramic view of the River Susica and River Tara (1365m), and Village Nedajno on the edge of Susica Canyon and extraordinary view on Mountain Durmitor (1439m).

Coming down to the Sušica lake (1000m) which was created after glacial erosion of the water from Sušica river and belong to the group of few periodical lakes in Durmitor. Drive on the other side of the canyon to the village Mala Crna Gora, situated between two great canyons of the Tara and Susica (1500) known as permanently but rarely populated community in the highest region of Balkans, above 2000 m.

Next stop is for photographing and amazing viewing is Veliki Štuoc, the largest peak in the Tara River Canyon (2104m), after which we stop in Zabljak (1420m), the city with the greatest height above the sea level in the Balkans, 1,456 m. It is surrounded by 23 mountain peaks over 2300m and 17 glacier lakes called “Mountain Eyes” of Durmitor.

We will take about 3km long walk from the Zabljak centre to the most famous lake – Black Lake (1416m above the sea level) which consists of the Small and the Great Lakes, 1150m long and 800m wide, with a maximum depth 49m. Between the steep hillsides, hidden in the green, thick foliage are the magic beauties: Zmijinje, Barno, Riblje, Vrazje, Modro and the other lakes. The highest Durmitor peak 2523 m Bobotov kuk dominates over all area and wider. After break for photographing and viewing we will walk back to the centre.

As we continue our tour, we reach the Village Virak and peak Stozina (1905m) where we will make short break for outstanding panoramic view on the Modro Lake and the Valovito Lake. The next spot is Todorov Do, small village situated below the most beautiful peak of Durmitor Prutaš (2300m).

We will drive through interesting villages in Piva region, passing an old livestock in the Village Pisce (1390m) after which we will make coffee/tea break in the Ethno Restaurant in the authentic Dormitory village Trsa (1450m). Our next spot for viewing is picturesque view on the Piva Lake and Durmitor Mountains.

Our road goes to Plužine, the smallest and youngest Montenegrin municipality, built next to the Piva lake, the greatest reservoir of drinking water in Europe (the lake is 45 km long with depth up to 150m), and it continues next to the Piva lake shore, crossing the lake dam 240m height and passing 57 tunnels of the Piva Canyon.

This long day full of many surprises and the excitements finishes about 18.00.
